Well, I haven't written anything here in about 3 months because I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with this domain.
I was thinking about selling it but hey, it is PR3 and since Google is taking so long to update website rankings it might not be in my best interests to get rid of a PR3 site and then start a new one.
I'm thinking about 3 different options for this domain besides selling it. One is to make a directory here and the other is to delete my Drupal installation and install Wordpress instead and the other is to re-install Drupal and start from scratch.
I guess making a directory might not be a bad idea since I've never had a directory before and it would be fun to set it up and all. (I enjoy setting stuff up more than using it, heh.) Once I got it going there would probably be very little maintenance on it, although I would keep a close eye on the directory to make sure it was always working properly and not being abused.
I still sort of like Drupal for the integrated forums and a lot of other features and if I had just RTFM the last time I got a wild hair and installed a module I'd still have a nice site now. But no, I had to go charging in half-cocked and totally messed up my categories and forums and I'm not smart enough to know how to fix it, except for starting from scratch.
My main hold up is that even though I'm not using this site and even though I know I need to get busy and get it going again I just dread deleting it to start over. Hehe, starting over doesn't bother me - it is the idea of deleting everything that hurts my heart. I wonder if that makes any sense. Probably not, but that's the way I feel about it.
So I still don't know what to do, even thought I titled this post "I know what I want to do"... *goofy grin*
Lists are always helpful so here are my options:
1. Sell it
2. Install a directory
3. Re-install Drupal
4. Install Wordpress
The domain only costs $10.00 per year but I imagine I might be able to bring in a little revenue if I just got myself motivated. Maybe I'll think about it for another three months. In the meantime I'm working on my other sites:

This blog is on hold until I decide what to do with it...
My content strayed away from the domain name and I've decided to rectify that... I just don't know exactly what to do with the domain now... I'd sell it if I thought I could get a nice chunk of change for it... doubt I could though...
I could make a directory here but I'm thinking the internet already has enough directories... it will probably just sit here and collect dust until I make up my mind... In the meantime I've started blogging at A Geek Mom's Net Journey with the same kind of content I previously blogged about at this domain in the past...
I'm going to miss this place...

I haven't upgraded my Wordpress blog (For the Heck It!)to 2.2 yet so I didn't know about the Wordpress preview window being replaced with a link. dang. I hate it when software is "upgraded" but makes more work and hassle for the end user.
According to John Chow there is a way to bring it back though. Thank goodness for that or I might not ever upgrade again. I really like the preview window.
Added note:
I just started a new blog using Wordpress 2.2 (A Geek Mom's Net Journey) and I took John Chow's advice and downloaded the Preview Frame Plugin from Roblog. So far it seems to be working just fine.

I've recently mentioned that I've had a few problems lately with spyware attacks, but the worst problem I ever had was in January of 2006. Funny that I would remember exactly when it happened but it coincided with some other things that happened that month so that's why I remember the date. Too bad I didn't have Spy Sweeper to prevent those problems.
Actually, the issue wasn't with my own computer. The spyware problem was with my husband's computer but since I'm the official computer admin of our family I was the one that had to fix it. :(
The problem my husband had was that he didn't realize some of the pop-ups he received and that asked him to "click to remove spyware" were actually putting the spyware and trojans on his computer in the first place. He downloaded the "spyware cleaners" that the pop-ups told him to which in turn made it worse. Then they started asking him to pay money to remove the trojan they put on his computer! It was awful.
And as if that wasn't bad enough, something happened to his .lnk files (we never figured that one out) and he could not load any program at all. I tried to fix his computer for over a week until we finally just gave up and re-installed his OS. What a pain!
Thank goodness for an award-winning product like Spy Sweeper. Spy Sweeper blocks known and emerging spyware threats as you browse before they ever reach your computer. If your PC is already infected Spy Sweeper will find and completely destroy malicious spyware that is already on your computer. Sounds good to me.

Blogstorm is a new service allowing you to track the number of websites linking to your blog posts or news articles.
To use their service you have to:
1. Download a PHP script
2. Get a Yahoo API key
3. Sign up at the Blogstorm website
I haven't signed up yet because that seems like a few more hoops than I want to jump through right now. It might be a good service for anyone that wants to keep track of back-links though.
