Am I really cut out to be a blogger?

I'm really beginning to wonder. Of course, I should have asked myself that question before I even began this endeaver. heh

There are some people that will spew all their thoughts out of their mouth (or blog about them) the minute the thought enters their heads. I'm not one of those people. I usually think things over before I open my mouth (usually, but not always! haha) and by the time I get ready to say something the moment has passed so I just *shrug* and move on. Blogging is turning out to be the same as real life. I'm just not a yakity yak yak kind of person.

Only time will tell I suppose. I think I should keep at it for at least another month and then re-evaluate myself and my blog again at that time. So that's what I'm going to do. Happy 2

Don't Sweat It

My best advice is: Don't sweat it.

It seems like a lot of bloggers go through a similar phase of questioning their blog.

Just remember that it's just a blog, and it's your's. It's there to serve you and not the other way around. :)

I also notice that a lot of people are obsessed with this idea that you have to post multiple times per day. I don't think that this is the case. If you have interesting or useful content then you can take a relaxed approach to your blog. People will still link to you. They will still subscribe to your RSS feed.

You'll still want to post every week or two so that people know that you're alive, but there's really no need to sweat it beyond that.

Good luck and have fun! ;D

Thank you for reminding me

Thank you for reminding me of what I already knew. I used to run a HTML Help forum years ago and "serving" people just feels like the natural thing to do. It really is odd to have a site that is here to serve me and not the other way around.

I've only been working on this blog since February 12th (it had been on hold for a few months) so it isn't even a month old yet. I'll give myself a few months and then re-evaluate the whole scenario at that time.

:-)

No problem. It's a frame of mind that most bloggers get into. One begins to think of folks hitting their site and then they experience a moment of "they won't find anything new today!".

Just try to have fun with it. It really is the content that matters most.

G'day over yonder & best of luck. :D
