Apogee Search

Search Engine Marketing? I've heard the term thrown around here and there but to be honest I wouldn't be able to define it. I'd guess that it is similar to Search Engine Optimization but that would be just a guess.
Fortunately for myself (and anyone who might be reading this) I have found the definitive Search Engine Marketing Glossary. I learned from the Search Engine Marketing Glossary (among a lot of other things) that SEM means "the marketing of one's website through a search engine, whether through paid search or search engine optimization".
Out of curiosity and for comparison I looked up SEO also. The definition of SEO is "techniques used to improve a website's rankings in the search engines. Consists of on-page optimization, indexing improvements and link building." So now I know!
