Blogstorm is a new service allowing you to track the number of websites linking to your blog posts or news articles.
To use their service you have to:
1. Download a PHP script
2. Get a Yahoo API key
3. Sign up at the Blogstorm website
I haven't signed up yet because that seems like a few more hoops than I want to jump through right now. It might be a good service for anyone that wants to keep track of back-links though.
to many hoops
I would not be looking at anything that needs lots of jumping and programming to use. If I want to see who is linking to me Ican just use linkdomain:xxxxxxx.com and search at yahoo. this should give about the same information.
Also what is really important is what links are sending traffic , and that is available in Awstats in cpanel.
I agree. Maybe I'm missing
I agree. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see the value in this.
Track huh?
Not that accurate I found out as when someone don't ping Yahoo API from yr blog etc, they don't get archived or spidered compared to Google etc.
I used referer.org widget, without a need of a key etc, and they are accurate till the deeplink itself.Without the need to download anything or sign up also.
take care

I use referer.org also. It is fun to see where my links turn up. :)
