DClick Ads - Internet Advertising Services

I don't know about any of you other small bloggers out there but I have never made one thin dime from Google Adsense. (I registered with them over a year ago and I only have 8 dollars in the kitty, hehe.)

When I got the chance to write a sponsored review for DClick Ads I jumped at the chance for more reasons than the obvious. I'm have been diligently searching for sources of revenue (other than Adsense) for my blog in the past several weeks and it seems DClick Ads has been dropped into my lap at just the right time.

DClick Ads is a service that quickly and easily connects advertisers and publishers (webmasters/bloggers) with one another. As a publisher I'm very interested in the way their service works from the blog owner's point of view so that's what I'll talk about today. What really got my attention is that publishers can set their own pricing per week, per month or at per click rates. I like that idea!

The 3 types of advertisements you can offer are banner ads, standard text link ads, and premium embedded link ads. Payments are made by check and will be mailed by postal mail, 30 days after the advertisement has reached its time period or click count.

There is no charge to join and begin displaying your publisher profile and ad inventory. If an advertiser purchases one of your ads, a 25% advertising fee is paid to DClick Ads upon approval and billing.

I went over to DClick Ads and registered as a webmaster. Registration was smooth and I was registered within minutes. The only snag I encountered is that webmasters are required to download a zip file and upload the contents to the root directory of their website, create a directory and CHMOD the new directory to 777. Although I've been designing websites for over 10 years this is one of the areas I haven't gotten into very much yet. I'll have to have my system administrator take a look at it and complete this for me if I decide to go ahead with it.

The feature I like best about DClick Ads is that you have full control over approving or denying advertisements, but if you want to you can let the system automatically place the advertisements on your site. If you're looking for a source of revenue for your blog or website I think DClick Ads is worth looking into.
