It would be a shame to see you give up on this site :)
I wouldn't recommend a directory right now they certainly are not a good idea for making money indeed I wrote an article on Payment Blogger a while back called I'm a directory owner get me out of here that was before the recent Google penalties.
That said Patrick from Blog storm is building his first directory based on the fact Google has wiped out the competition ;)
still it would be a shame to not see you occasionally in the rss reader.

I don't know what the heck to do with it then...
I'm not really into blogging about making money by blogging... bleh... I've had my fill of it...
I don't know if you remember this but when I first set up this site I intended to create a community, not a blog... then I got bitten by the "wow, I can make money by writing blog posts" bug and the focus of the site changed... I kind of wish I had stuck with my original plan but I did make enough money to upgrade my computer, so that was a good thing... truth be told, there is more money out there just waiting for me to reach out and take it, but I just can't get motivated enough to do it for some reason...
I'll give it some more thought... It's not like I'm not busy - I have more than enough to keep me busy with my other sites... going to check out your link now... :)
