I know what I want to do... I think...

Well, I haven't written anything here in about 3 months because I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with this domain.

I was thinking about selling it but hey, it is PR3 and since Google is taking so long to update website rankings it might not be in my best interests to get rid of a PR3 site and then start a new one.

I'm thinking about 3 different options for this domain besides selling it. One is to make a directory here and the other is to delete my Drupal installation and install Wordpress instead and the other is to re-install Drupal and start from scratch.

I guess making a directory might not be a bad idea since I've never had a directory before and it would be fun to set it up and all. (I enjoy setting stuff up more than using it, heh.) Once I got it going there would probably be very little maintenance on it, although I would keep a close eye on the directory to make sure it was always working properly and not being abused.

I still sort of like Drupal for the integrated forums and a lot of other features and if I had just RTFM the last time I got a wild hair and installed a module I'd still have a nice site now. But no, I had to go charging in half-cocked and totally messed up my categories and forums and I'm not smart enough to know how to fix it, except for starting from scratch.

My main hold up is that even though I'm not using this site and even though I know I need to get busy and get it going again I just dread deleting it to start over. Hehe, starting over doesn't bother me - it is the idea of deleting everything that hurts my heart. I wonder if that makes any sense. Probably not, but that's the way I feel about it.

So I still don't know what to do, even thought I titled this post "I know what I want to do"... *goofy grin*

Lists are always helpful so here are my options:

1. Sell it
2. Install a directory
3. Re-install Drupal
4. Install Wordpress

The domain only costs $10.00 per year but I imagine I might be able to bring in a little revenue if I just got myself motivated. Maybe I'll think about it for another three months. In the meantime I'm working on my other sites:

Do What You Want!

I can understand your dilemma. But, I don't think that you should feel guilty about not keeping it. This blog is for your enjoyment...if you don't want it...just sell it. Don't lose sleep over it.

If this isn't your job...don't allow it to stress you out! :)

Good luck with your decision.

Do not sell

Hello..I was going through your blog when I read about how you wanted to sell your domain. My friend had the same problem;he was getting bored of running a site with practically nothing to write about;in the end he decided that he should sell it..And then he heard about Wordpress and gave it a try.Now his site's up and running :) So better not sell your domain..Who knows,it could be a Easter egg!

I don't want to keep it

I don't want to keep it because I'm not as interested in paid blogging as I was a year ago and keeping up this blog is a hassle to me... I don't go on the web to be hassled, I go on the web for my own entertainment... if it isn't entertaining for me I don't do it. So that's the answer... :)

keep it

I do not really understand why you do not want to keep it. You could write some posts for trigami or use other monitization strategies. I think putting more effort in would be the best idea. On the other hand. A forum might be nice too. But you definitely should not sell it. Maybe you even improved your PR so you have to wait at least till the next real PR update and no one knows how long this will take.
